British sweets for sale in Taiwan

The sweets shown on this page are some of my favourite British sweets!! I love them, and I think you will, too.

Come along to my stand on Fuzhong Street in Tainan (opposite Confucius Temple) on any Saturday or Sunday afternoon to try them for yourself.

Dolly Mixture

 A colourful and tasty mixture of fondant cubes and tubes and jellies. One of my all time favourites!! And, so many sweets for your money!! I love the little jellies the most!! How about you?

這是由好幾種不同顏色，形狀（正方形，管狀，膠狀）的軟糖綜合在一起的糖果，算是我最愛的其中一種糖，而且，同樣的錢，它的數量真的比較多，我最愛的是膠狀的，你呢？

Fizzy Chips

A little bit sweet, but mostly pretty sour. A little bit fizzy, a little bit chewy. Kind of difficult to describe this one, that’s for sure!! But, take it from me, they taste GREAT!! Of all the sweets on this page, this sweet has been the most popular among customers in Taiwan so far.

有點甜，有點酸，有點粉，有點黏。這種糖果應該算是我最不會描述的了，但是，它吃起來真的很讚就是了。

Jelly Babies

Another of my all time favourites!! Jelly-shaped babies of different colours dusted in a fine starch powder. Some people start by munching the head, and others the feet. I’m a feet person, myself. But, where will you start?

這又是我的其中一種最愛。不同的顏色，人物的造型，再鋪上一層粉。有的人喜歡從頭開始咬，有的人喜歡從腳開始，我是偏好腳的，那你呢？

Lemon Bonbons

The first sweet I buy as soon as the plane touches down in England. A lemon dusty sugary power wrapped around a chewy toffee centre. I can’t even begin to tell you how good they taste. 

每當我在英國下飛機時，這一定是我第一種會去買的糖果。他的外皮灑上的是檸檬口味的糖粉，內心卻是有嚼勁的太妃糖，真的是好吃到無法形容了。

包裹著晨曦，包裹著一層薄薄淡淡的月色，難忘的，微酸帶甜滋味…，非常適合——想念的時候，慢慢品嚐。

Sugared Almonds

Multi-coloured hard sugar coating wrapped around a whole almond. The sweetness of the coating is beautifully balanced by the bitterness of the almond. They taste as good to eat as they are beautiful to look at. They are VERY HARD !! Don't try and bite them if you love your teeth!!

多種不同不顏色的裝扮，再配上可口的糖衣，但其實內在卻是樸實的杏仁， 當你把它美麗的糖衣跟裡面的杏仁同時咀嚼時，你真的會覺得它雖好看，卻更好吃。

不知道為什麼？這款杏仁糖，總讓我忍不住想起漫步在教堂屋頂上的鴿子，那種粉粉的溫柔，粉粉的慵懶與粉粉的糖蜜滋味，總能引動心底一份浪漫的閒散情懷。

Foam Bananas

Soft foamy sweets, with a lovely banana flavour. I wouldn’t take this one to the zoo, if I were you. You might never get them back off the monkeys!!

小巧，柔軟，泡沫狀外表的香蕉風味糖。要我是你的話，我一定不會把這個糖果帶到動物園，因為猴子們一定會把他們搶走。

Foam Shrimps

Soft and chewy, raspberry-flavoured shrimps. Yet another absolute classic, well-loved by young and old alike. Bet you can’t eat only one!!

柔軟中有點黏著的覆盆子風味蝦形糖果，這又是另一種糖果中的經典，老少咸宜，我賭你吃了一定還想再吃。

Apple Bonbons

 

A chewy toffee centre dusted with a tangy apple-tasting sugary powder. If “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, then this sweet should make sure you won’t be seeing the doctor anytime soon!!

中間是柔軟入口的太妃糖，外表灑上蘋果香味的糖粉。如果每天一蘋果，醫生遠離我，這個糖果一定會讓醫生跟你保持距離的！！

Fizzy Rings

Fizzy, fruity, gummy rings. Need I say more? They taste great!!

果凍般，多采多姿的水果口味糖果圈圈，好吃!!好吃!!

Jelly Beans

No need for introductions here!! Well known to sweet lovers all around the world. A hard candy shell wrapped around a gummy (usually fruity) centre. Do you have the will power to eat them one at a time, or will you gobble them down six or seven at a time?

其實這個糖果是不需要特別介紹的。這是一個在糖果界極具盛名的糖果。貝殼的外型，內在又有嚼勁。你真的確定你能抗拒它的誘惑，一次只吃一顆嗎？？還是你比較偏好一次六七顆的狼吞虎嚥呢？

Rosey Apples 

A lovely rosey apple flavoured smooth boiled sweet. I fell in love with their taste as soon as I tried them. Definitely one to be recommended for all you fruit lovers out there!!

這是一種玫瑰紅色的蘋果風味糖，當我第一次品嚐它時，我就愛上它了，如果你是水果的粉絲，你就一定會喜歡它

Strawberry Bonbons

Chewy toffee centre wrapped in a strawberry dusty sugary coating. These sweets always follow the lemon bonbons into my shopping basket whenever I hit the sweetshop in England.

濃郁的太妃糖內在，加上草莓口味的外層。當我拜訪英國當地的糖果屋時，我通常會把這個糖跟lemon bonbons一起放到我的購物籃。

Wine Gums

Chewy but firm sweets with an intense fruit flavour. And don’t worry, there’s not a drop of wine in them!! Red and black are my personal favourites. But, to be honest, I love them all. How about you?

有點黏又超有嚼勁的水果糖。不用擔心，別看他的名字有個wine,這裡面可是一點酒都沒有！！紅跟黑是我的最愛，但是其實所有的顏色我都很喜歡，你呢？
